The automatic water system is installed and working for the veggie patch, and the solar system is now powering everything, including charging my e-bike.

Here's a video overview of how everything works, and progress to date:

Hi Ian,

I am from India. Good to know that you are settling there.
Using solar power is a brilliant idea!
Hope there is enough sunlight than in UK.
You did everything by yourself?

    Hi there Shiney,
There is certainly enough sunlight here through the summer months to power everything.
I’m interested to see how things work out over winter… I’ll let you know.
Yes, I did everything you see set up in the video myself.
    Best wishes,
    Ian

Nicely done. I’ve been using the same charge controller in my RV travel trailer for a couple of years, just installed that same MT-50 remote meter this past weekend. A lot of your handy work looks very familiar! Wish you could pump some of that water to California though, we’re parched.

    Hi Wade,
Good to hear from you. I’m really happy with the controller, and the MT50.
The other little meter that is attached to the battery via a shunt is great, and gives a pretty accurate reading of how full the battery is. It’s a cheap Chinese one that only cost about $30.
We had a massive downpour yesterday, and our underground tank is almost full to overflowing. I wish I could send you some.
    Cheers,
    Ian
