Iguassu Falls, Brazil.

The Brazilian side of the falls doesn’t take as long to visit as the Argentinian side, and the rough estimate that we had been given of about a day for the Argentinian side, and half a day for Brazil was about correct.

Once again, after entering the national park we were transported, this time by bus, to the area of the falls. It was a beautiful walk along a well-maintained path which had some great views of the falls.

However, the real spectacle begins at the end of the path, where a metal catwalk takes you out into the middle of the falls, just below the Devil’s Throat. The noise and the spray is incredible, and you can look directly down over the edge of one big cascade.

There is an elevator that takes you up to a viewpoint above the top level of the falls, where the view of the whole area is hard to pull yourself away from.

Whether it is spelt Iguazu in Argentina, or Iguassu in Brazil, it’s a spectacular place indeed.
