We had a bit of a change of plans for early September, dropping the long detour to Las Vegas in favour of being able to spend more time in the stunning National Parks. We both wanted to add a visit to Bryce Canyon to the trip, so the saving of time and money if we headed directly north instead would allow us to spend more time in the wilderness.
From the Grand Canyon we headed to the small town of Page in Arizona.
There are a few other random posts and pix on the social media sites, links at the bottom of this blog post, but this is a pretty definitive gathering of the best pix I captured of this part of the trip:
Antelope Canyon, Page, Arizona
Horseshoe Bend, Colorado River, Page, Arizona
Glen Canyon Dam, Colorado River, Page, Arizona
Red Canyon Campground, Utah
We saw a spectacular flash flood at our overnight stop on the way to Bryce Canyon. The dry river bed was transformed to a raging torrent minutes later, and our road out of the campcround was completely impassable for the evening.
Coming up next…
Bryce Canyon, Utah.
