How come I didn’t know about this?
It would appear that I missed out on saying hello to a group of fellow Aussies also raising funds for Bowel Cancer Australia (update 2019 – website no longer exists). I was checking out my link on their website here, and was pleased to find that I have raised $1,800 through their link, as well as the 2,100 from photo sales.
And I found a link to their adventures on the Bowel Cancer and Digestive Research Institute “Do Your Own Thing” fundraising page. The 2010 Australian Everest Expedition would have been at Everest Base Camp when I passed through there.
It would have been great to meet up with some fellow fundraisers!
Anyway, they did an awesome job on the mountain, and all those planning to reach the summit managed to do so. They have also managed to raise over $60,000 so far. Fantastic job! I have a bit of catching up to do, I think!!
