My very talented web designer friend Mel started to put together the ALife4Sale website, and On 14th March 2008 ALife4Sale.com went live. I planned to have a 100 day countdown until the start date of the auction on 22nd June. My friend Simon in England wrote a press release, and my old hometown newspaper ran a full page story.
This was followed up by calls from English daily newspapers, then Australian papers, Australian TV, English TV, and then a day or two later, US TV and radio stations from all around the world. It was crazy - my phone was ringing non-stop, and I was constantly doing interviews, live on TV and radio, and for many newspapers and magazines. I even heard from Hollywood movie producers.
Things calmed down after a couple of weeks, and life sort of returned to normal for a while, but as the auction approached in June, the media circus began again.
As the auction finished, I had three TV crews in my living room, and a helicopter looking for somewhere to land!
The final bid was $399,300, but the buyer eventually failed to complete the purchase. I contacted several of the other top bidders, but none of them wished to stand by the bids they had made, and I started to consider how to deal with this problem!

Reviews for "A LIFE SOLD" :-

"I read the entire book in one sitting. When I was done, I felt that I had traveled around the world with Ian, and was better for it. I cheered with him, cried with him, and relived the joy of healing from a broken heart. I was inspired.."
